The New Hampshire Beekeeping Association (NHBA) has a complete list of local clubs. This is a great place to get started, and I joined the Capital Area Beekeeping Association (CABA) back when I was starting.
The Beekeeping Handbook is an excellent resource. This is a great place to get started, and I use it for my beekeeping source. Other good sources include the Penn State Beekeeping Basics Guide, and of course, my first book on bees: Beekeeping for Dummies.
Best sites are out of the wind, southerly facing, close to water, and easy for you to get to for your inspections. I offer bee packages and nucs. Make sure to order your bees early, as they go quick!
We've got a growing inventory of beekeeping equipment, and we can help you get started and save you money at the same time. We've got a beginning beekeeper kit, complete bee hive kits dipped in wax (NOT PAINTED), used smokers, medium boxes and frames, and ventilated suits and gloves when the summers get hot. We think our prices are the best!
Want a private tour of one of our apiaries? I offer one hour tours for $35, suit provided, for individuals or families. Learn how to conduct an inspection and handle bees and frames, in person! Connect with me via email to set up a tour.
