About Us

Emma Branch (they/them) and Maggie Szal (she/her) are rising Seniors at the Derryfield School who are spending their summer interning at the Concord Bee Company. Emma is a cat fanatic who loves spending their time reading, creating art, and roaming  the outdoors. Maggie is an art lover and book worm who loves to spend time with her dog, start new hobbies and play guitar in her spare time. Together they are incredibly excited to join the team and learn more about the business and bees!

I'm Krishna Katragadda, and I call Manchester, NH, my home. As I prepare to graduate from Derryfield High School, I'm excitedly looking ahead to my next chapter at Northeastern University, where I'll be majoring in Molecular Biology. For my senior project, I've taken on the challenge of learning the art of Beekeeping, despite having no prior experience in this field. I see this as a unique and valuable opportunity to broaden my horizons and gain new insights. I can't wait to dive in and see where this journey takes me with the guidance of Jim Watt.

My name is Owen Clemans, I live in Bow, NH and will be graduating from The Derryfield School this June! In the fall, I will be attending Wake Forest University where I plan to major in biology on a pre-med track. For my Independent Senior Project, I chose to work with the Concord Bee Company to push myself out of my comfort zone and to study the biology and behavior of honey bees hands on. From this experience I am excited to learn about the inner workings of a small business and work alongside a master beekeeper, Jim Watt!
